The Donkey Sanctuary

At The Donkey Sanctuary in Leeds, we are primarily a donkey-assisted therapy centre, offering donkey interaction for children with additional needs and disabilities. We offer a dedicated Schools Programme, which sees around 150 children each week attending from mainstream and SILC schools across the region. We also offer a Saturday Club (10am-2pm, the first Saturday of every month) and a Twilight Club (3.30pm-5pm, every Wednesday in term-time), which is an extra opportunity for parents/carers to bring along children to benefit from our services. We also offer Outreach services across the region, visiting: schools and nurseries; day centres and residential homes; as well as nursing homes and hospices.
